Welcome to the entirely new "Huzzah! The Movie" website and project relaunch. Where have we been for the last couple of years? It's a faire question (see what I did there?). After all, we made a lot of noise about this project while we were running around the country getting behind the scenes at some of the best festivals. Problem is, once we got done with the fun part, there was a lot of work to do. I moved to New York, leaving Glenn on his own to run through days upon days worth of footage. We both have day jobs. We realized pretty quickly that getting a finished product was going to take us some time.
So it's done now, right? Not exactly. But we've made it through the tedious part (actually, full credit to Glenn there), and we have a direction. The end is in sight, even if it is over a couple of hills. Mostly, we really don't want interest to be lost for this movie. It's our love letter to a culture that is near and dear to our hearts, a scene which brought us close together as friends. So, while it might be a little premature, we're "relaunching" Huzzah! What does this relaunch entail? Well, first, a new website. And with that website comes this blog -- the retelling and ongoing tale of our misadventures in the 16th Century.
In the coming weeks and months, I'll be blogging about our trips to various festivals around the country. Some of these took place several years ago, but the experiences are still fresh in our minds. The people we met were so great and every faire had its own character. I'm really looking forward to sharing those experiences with everyone who will listen. Faire is a special thing. In shooting this movie we did our best to let the festival-goers (You) tell us about what makes it so magical, but this website is our opportunity to talk our thoughts and experiences.
I hope you enjoy it. Huzzah!
